Six Sentence Sunday #22

 Happy Six Sentence Sunday!

I've been sharing snippets from my sensual novella (drama), A STRANGER'S KISS for the past few weeks. (It's available exclusively at Amazon. If you'd like to read an excerpt, click here.)

This week's snippet comes on the heels of last week's confession to David by Karen. Now Karen has asked for a bit of tit for tat, wanting David to answer a few questions that she has about him.

I am not ready for this. Dread gripped him by the shorthairs, but his conscience was a stronger combatant. She’d opened a vein just now, the least he could do was even the playing field and give her what she wanted. “Okay. Shoot.” Please, just not about the baby, okay?
