Six Sentence Sunday #20

 Hi All!!

This week (and for the next few weeks), I'll be sharing snippets from my sensual novella (drama), A STRANGER'S KISS (Available exclusively at Amazon. If you'd like to read an excerpt, click here.)

Click here for the prior weeks' six

Set-up: Karen and David had a one-night stand on Valentine's Day. He recognizes her; she doesn't recognize him. She's turned out to be the graphic artist his buddy referred him to for logo and web design work for his new restaurant.

David placed his cell phone on the tabletop and sat back, a new layer of guilt weighing down upon the old one. It felt weird—wrong and weird—to be the only one between them that knew they’d been intimate. It kept their relationship on a steeper imbalance than it properly should be. He’d liked Karen’s open nature from the moment she’d begun speaking to him at the bar, but now that he’d been exposed to her sans the booze, he realized how much he actually liked and admired her. And the more he liked and admired her, the more his conscience chafed and recriminated him for betraying her trust (what trust two almost-strangers might have. But still.)

    1. Thanks Sandra, you're a doll for saying so...I could NOT figure out which six to use this week, and finally out of frustration at myself, I finally just said "eff it" (only I used the real word, cuz that's just how I roll, LOL!) and used this snippet anyway. Glad it's not totally boring.
