Six Sentence Sunday #3

Good morning, afternoon, or evening (as the case may be), all you wonderful Six Sentence Sunday blog hopping readers!

 The past two weeks I've been sharing snippets from my hot and steamy contemporary romance romp, DIAMONDS AND TOADS: A MODERN FAIRY TALE available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and All Romance eBooks. If you'd like to read an excerpt, click here.

Set-up: This is still from part two, the "bad" sister, Isadora's, story. She's been cursed with a quirky little speech impediment by a fairy, which forces her to say highly humiliating things. Sam, Isadora's ex-fiancé, has just shown up unexpectedly to the engagement ball for her sister, Delilah, and is about to sweep Isadora onto the dance floor after successfully meeting Isadora's unintentional sexual challenge to his manhood. Let's see what Isadora's reaction is....

* * *
...She finally looked at him. Sam. Samuel Thomas Slade. The devil incarnate. Still gorgeous as ever. And by the dark tan of his skin and the sun streaks in his chestnut hair, clearly still a slacker scuba dude as well. What a waste.
* * *

I wonder what happens now...? Come back next week for another six sentences in Isadora and Sam's unfolding love story.

If you enjoyed this, why not stop by the Six Sentence Sunday website for the links to other authors who are participating?  Have Fun and Happy Reading!

  1. I love your characters, KE! Your six tells so much about how Isadora truly feels about Sam. Now I want to know why he's her ex. Good job.
